A little background noise.

I go by the internet moniker "ptgustan", which is reduced from Porky T. Gustan. Porky is a nickname for Pablo. The entire alias (for I have never used my real name on line) was derived from a phrase in a Basic Spanish textbook: "¿Porque, te gustan las chicas? I'm an old man, past 60 years, and mostly retired. I've had a careen instead of a career. My work included, but wasn't limited to, being a history teacher, language teacher, gentleman farmer, interior decorator, retail merchant, hired gun and lawyer. I never was much of a success in any of these fields of endeavor. At least I'm still alive, albeit much beat up and whittled down. The picture of me that appears here was taken when I was about 30 years old and looking for work in Africa.

Today I live and work in an old feedlot near Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Life is still worth living.
